Naimisharanya

Naimisharanya is a famous Hindu pilgrimage located on the left bank of Gomti river in Sitapur district , under the Lucknow area, 80 km from Lucknow. In the Markandeya Purana many times it has been mentioned as a hotbed of 88,000 rishis. According to the Maha Purana, Magh Mahaatyya and Brihadharam Purana, according to the pre-section, there is still a ritualization of rishis in some of its secret places. Soni Urhardhava, the son of fomentation, had told legends to the sages here. According to the Varah Purana [1] here, by the destruction of demons in Goddess Nimishi, it is called 'Naimisharanya'. According to thePuranas , Vayu , Kurma etc., the hymn (Hall) of Lord Manoami Chakra was dissipated here (Giri), hence it was called Naimisharanya The earliest mention of Naimisharanya is found in the Palma of Valmiki Ramayana 's war-carriage. In Pulpika, it is mentioned that Love and Kush singing the poetry written by Valmiki in seven days in the Ashwamedh Yagna of Ram on the banks of Gomti river.

Maharishi Shaunak had a desire to have a knowledge session for a long time. Being pleased with his worship, Brahma gave him a circle and said, "Go away and run it." Where the 'Nemi' (outer periphery) of this cycle falls, consider the same place as sacred and make the knowledge session by making an ashram there. ' With Shanakaji, there were Sahasya sages. All those people started walking around that cycle and started roaming in India. On the banks of the river Gomti, a chakra of a Chakra fell in Tapovan and the same wheel entered the land. The shrine was called 'Naumish' due to the fall of the cycle. Where the wheel entered the land, that place is called Chakratirth. This shrine is on the left bank of Gomti river and is considered as one of the 51 Fathers places. Here, Somavati Amavasya is fair. In this pilgrimage to Shanakaji, Sutji narrated the story of eighteen old Puranas. Shabralamji was here at Dwapar. By mistake, the romance cotton yoke was killed by them. Balram ji boasted his son Raghasheva that he was the speaker of the Puranas. And killed the monster Balwaul, who persecuted the sages. By pilgrimage of whole India, Balram ji again came to Naimisharanya and here he sacrificed.
